Consequently JIS L 0805 : 1998 is replaced with this Standard. This revision has been made based on IS0 105-A03 : 1993 Textiles--Tests purposes of making it easier to compare this Standard with International Standard; to prepare Japanese Industrial Standard conforming with International Standard; and to propose a draft of an International Standard which is based on Japanese Industrial Standard. The portions given side lines or dotted underlines in this Standard are the mat- ters in which the contents of the original International Standard have been modi- fied. A list of modification with the explanations is given in annex 2 (informative). 1 Scope This Standard specifies the grey scale for assessing staining to be used as the criteria (hereafter referred to as “grey scale for assessing staining") for as- sessing visually the staining of adjacent fabric produced as the result of colour fast- ness test.
